New springs mounted on my car

Cars 'n' such
Finally I got around and changed the springs and dampers on my car!
Bought the complete set in June, and now it's done ;)

Took it for a little test drive (around 60km/37miles), and I didn't get seasick

And now over to something completely different. My blog. This blog. First time ever I'm writing it, and I don't even know what to write about. As you see in the header, this is everything about nothing. Could be interesting, could be a rubbish. Who knows?

Its suprising the difference it makes with new ones

They deteriorate so slowly over a few years you dont tend to notice them really....

I did the rears on mine about 12 months ago , the fronts need doing soon but they are expensive because of the model (im thinking about 150 each for parts , il do it myself anyway)

:alien:
Well since it is your first Blog entry I will be the first to comment on it!

What make and model is the car?
Gah! Stupid settings! I thought the comments wouldn't have to be approved. But it looks like I was wrong.

New suspension is like a whole new car! Before I changed them the back of the car tended to slide out in highspeed turns, especially with snow on the road. A few weeks ago I had long road trip (600km/372miles) on a snowy/icey road, but I didn't feel a tiny bit of sliding.

I think I broke mine when I had a little liftoff in Finland the first year I had the car. A few miles away from the grocery store we used to buy sigarettes and beer, the road is straight forward, but also a little bouncy. To it was kind of pedal to the metal, and then the road disappeared (it felt like it did), followed by a little *bang*. Which I think was the end for the dampers :(

I've been looking on a new car tho. A '05 Audi A3. I'd love to have a quattro, but they are waaay to epensive. ($69.000/£32.600/€42613/375.000NOK)
So if I'll buy it, it's just going to be a plain FWD 1.9/2.0TDI :)
