Hello,
This script is a modified script.
With due permission of the prime author, cowweb at invisionize,
Only with the intention to make sql backups on ur servers easy, and have the ability to email the sql as attachments, or transfer to a remote server.
I recommend U use gmail.com, yahoo.com or rediffmail.com email id's
as they offer u free 100mb to 1gb space.
U can also send the sql backup to a remote ftp server.
The backup script has been used as it is, keeping the authors name
intact. Pl use the server script "backup.php" to make a back up.
U can also use it for cron job.
for automatic backups on the server.

I have tried this modification on my server many times, and it
sends a perfect email attachment, in zipped format. All you need id
to download, unzipp ur sql, and upload it via ftp to ur forums root.
Eg www.uedomain.com/forums/
To restore the sql, u will need mysql_tool.php
download it from below address, use this script to restore. Upload
it to the root of ur forum and run it in ur browser.

With this script U can make backups of ur forums and other sqls,
and have it run as a cron job, or email the sql backup to u, or ur
remote ftp server.
Althought the idea was conceived by CoolSurfer Email : CoolSurfer@gmail.com , This script would not have been possible
without efforts of my friend programmer neagumi , Email:neagumihai@hotmail.com
Pl feel free to report us , if u find any bugs. In version 2.1
I added password protection feature, to prevent mis use of file.
