[AH23] Socialiser 1.0.0 available now!
A little ahead of schedule, AH Modding is pleased to announce the first, stable release of its biggest component to date, [AH23] Socialiser.
[AH23] Socialiser strives on social networking, and getting members to interact with each other, it supports a expandable widget system at its core, where members can add them to the profiles, and 'drag and drop' them around the page to make it as customisable as they wish!
Developers can easily add widgets through our XML installer, please read the default widget XML's to see what needs to happen where.
Similar to the widget system is the tabs, these are the same as the IP.Board profile tabs but with a little difference, it has access to the socialiser! With these tabs, you can unlock new areas for your members, from YouTube pages, to biographies, the tabs system can handle it!
Creating tabs is exactly the same as the widget installation, except the XML will not handle PHP files as they tend to be larger for tabs.
The [AH23] Modules system debuts in [AH23] Socialiser, Socialiser treats modules like IP.Board treats components, each one unlocks new possibilities, for example, you could create a reputation system, or even a gallery with the modules system, all with the functionality of the socialiser at its core!
Installation for modules is simple, its our most advanced installer yet, one install directory full of various XML files can control everything, the installer supports creating language strings, templates, settings, cache, macros, SQL queries (creates, updates, alters, and inserts), and for the comfort of users, it can all be uninstalled at the click of a button! Yes thats right, even the language strings can be removed!
For the benefit of developers, AH Modding has included a 'example' directory in components_acp/socialiser/modules/, here you can see exactly what we are on about! Be sure to read it!
There are thousands of more features contained in [AH23] Socialiser, from dynamic banners to 'Design your own CSS', even from imagesets to forcing certain skins! Here is a overview of the feature set contained in this first release!
