The nav bar text is stored in that lang_tutorials.php file, it's the text to the right of the line in that file that starts with this code:
CODE
'tutorials'

You're installing this on your Windows localhost? Make sure the permissions on the cache folder alllows Everyone to write to it.

That's odd, and you tried re-running the installer after verifying those permissions? I don't have any experience installing my mods on localhost, unfortunately.

Yes .. I did re-run the installer with "Everyone - Full Control" permissions and still with the same error ... I have the Universal Mod and Board Panel installed ok ... Just tutorials is having a problem ...

Not a big deal ... was setting up everything locally to test the 2.2 skins before I upgrade ... I'll keep playing with it until I get it or break everything ... laugh.gif

Weird that the Board Panel would have worked but that this wouldn't, they're both just adding new skin templates and re-caching. This one would need to create a new file, but with Full Control it should be able to. Check the permissions for all the groups, do any of them have permissions that might prevent new files from being created in this directory?

Hi Mike

Removed all groups and the only group is "Everyone" which is a "Built in security principals" group and it is set to Full control .. Still no go ....

I'm really missing something here ... laugh.gif

Sorry, Dee, I wish I knew what to tell you, but I have never installed any of my mods on my own PC, I would have thought this would have worked.

Can this mod be used as a recipe system? I currently have this recipe system mod installed but it hasn't been upgraded to 2.2 I'm looking for something similar to this.

In theory, yes it could, but you'd have to change a lot in the language files (easy enough) and the PHP files (harder, but not necessarily necessary unless you'd be running both mods side by side) to make it work properly.

Oh...I'd only need it as a recipe system, not tutorials. And of course I wouldn't even use the current system.

Thanks...I'll consider this one the next time $40 is burning a hole in my pocket. smile.gif

Brian I am using the tutorials as resource centre. My forum is about african grey parrots so I have renamed it to Grey Toolkit and the categories created are related to the care of a grey parrot. I can easily see you use this system as a recipe system ..

Thanks Dee. I did check it out on your forum, and it looks great.

I haven't decided if I'm going to bother, since not many people were really using the recipe feature. We'll see.

I'm pretty sure it's exactly the same, with the exception of the code you have to find in the member_bar skin template (ipb. is now $this->ipsclass->).
