Can this be easily modified to place the 5 random images before the board stats?  I'm assuming it's quite easy, but just want to check.

Yeah, it would just be an issue of moving the edit to boards.php to a different place in the file.

It's just a bit of HTML code that I swap out some tags on:
CODE
<div align="center"><form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post"><input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_xclick"><input type="hidden" name="business" value="{PayPal}"><input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="{Mod Name}"><input type="hidden" name="amount" value="{Cost}"><input type="hidden" name="no_note" value="1"><input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="USD"><#tags#><table class='borderwrap' cellpadding='4' cellspacing='1'><tr><th colspan='2'>Purchase {Mod Name}</th></tr><tr><td class='row2' width='50%' align='center'>Cost: ${Cost} (USD)</td><td class='row2' width='50%' align='center'><input type="submit" value="Buy Now" class="button" /></td></tr></table></form></div>

Just have to then make sure you allow HTML in the post you are making this in.

OK, but I'm not going to be releasing this for free, wouldn't be fair to those who did pay for it.

I want to buy this mod but I don't know how to skin it. I can install it but somebody has to skin it for me. I want the 5 random images to be within a rounded border table and be placed right before the stats box. For skinning I am willing to pay extra.

The mod will use the same skin elements as this same section in the actual IP.Gallery, so you could have someone start by skinning that.  You can either open a new topic in the Design Discussion forum or open a new ticket in the Services system to have someone try to skin that for you, then once you have it you can purchase this mod and it will use that same skin code.

K, the mod is on it's way.  By default, it shows this box at the top of the board.  You can change its position by changing where you put the code in sources/action_public/boards.php.  Instead of putting it where the instructions tell you, put it right above this code:
CODE
        //-----------------------------------------
        // Add in show online users
        //-----------------------------------------
