ok I will let you all know I am a newbie here and with working on the skin and modules ... I got my forum upgraded to the new version I am trying to install a free skin from the download area .. IS Whirlpool 2.2 by Charles .. Click Here ok I have upload a skin when I had 2.17 with no problem but this is giving me fits when I go to ACP panel /Look& Feel / Inport /Export Skins it will not take the xml file no matter what
it says can not find the Xml file or file has no content
I even tried uploading it manually through FTP and putting in my root folder and putting in the file name and still nothing I read this tutorial Click here I checked my CHMOD setting on my folders and file the folder is at 777 and the file was at 644 but I even tried change the file to 777 and still nothing (I changed the Xml file back to 644 the setting it was at )

any help would be appreciated ... so much thank you .. Bonjovicrzy

You have to CHMOD your 'uploads' folder to 0777.

Thanks Sean for the help .. but that did not  work either  the message  still says  file has no contents  ... and I even turned of my security system to see if that might be the problem and it wasn't the problem either  ... thanks for trying ... Bonjovicrzy

Try extracting the skin files so they are just .xml files, not xml.gz then try importing.

I know the files work right, I test before each release of a skin.
