So I have several of Michael's Mods (who registered, who visited, etc)
I upgraded my board from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 and reverted all the templates...
I re-did the files edits, however, the mods did not show...After doing an upgrade, do you need to go into the Mod Installer and re-install the mod?
Thanks in advance!!

You need to re-do any file edits those mods required. When you upgraded you overwrote your edited files with versions of those files that don't have the mod edits in them anymore.

Michael, like I said I did the file edits after I overwrote the files...
My question is should I have needed to select re-install in the Mod Installer?
As mentioned, after doing the file edits, the mods did not show...when I selected re-install in the Mod Installer, the mods all appeared again.
So during the install of these mods, do they change the templates? If so, when I selected revert all templates during the upgrade, was that was caused the issue?
Thanks!

I always choose not to allow the upgrade to revert all templates. If you added a mod that required a template change, then it should explain the problem, I think.

Yeah, I suppose it could have been the reverting of the templates. But if the templates didn't exist and you did uploaded the modded files, you would have gotten fatal errors.
Like kewlceo, I always choose to not revert my templates. If you don't revert the templates, then there is no reason why you should have to re-run the installer, you just need to re-edit the files.

But why would you not revert your templates? What if there are updated templates? Do you just do the changes manually?

Yes, I do. If you revert your templates it will set all of your skins templates back to the default, in which case they'd essentially be IPB Default skins with new images and CSS. I find it easier to just do a skin differences report and update manually.

Ok so when things were reverted, that is probably why the mods did not show anymore even though the file edits were done.
Once I reinstalled, all was well...
