having gone through the code for a while ive found the part that displays the users login name in the table on the event page

  <td class='row2'><a href='{$this->ipsclass->base_url}showuser={$info['mem_id']}'>{$info['mem_name']}</a></td>

now using legal_name will display whats inputted in the legal name field etc so i know this is the code tht needs editing (im sure theres more)

i can see that the original coding was made to display the 'display name' not the login names etc....

what would i need to enter instead of mem_name for it to display the display names.... ive tried alsorts i.e. display_members_name, members_name all not working..

what do i need to add to extract the info and therefore work when using display_members_name or similar...

as you can see i have been trying and going through.. but still not successful lol can you please post the edits..

thank you very much!

This mod looks excellent. I've just sent Paypal through and looking forward to recieving it!

I run a costuming group forum and curently have events listed as a normal topic. Admins update the thread as users sign up. I want to install this mod as it becomes too time consuming to edit posts, add member names and update the calendar.

So, the plan is for admins to setup the event and members RSVP to it. Can I modify the RSVP section to include say a dropdown menu for members to select a pre-listed costume? E.g. Stormtrooper, Sandtrooper, Clone, Vader, Crew etc? Or they could even type in the costume themselves.

This is probably a daft question but as I haven't installed it yet to the board i'm not quite sure of the features.

Also, I don't want Board Moderators to have access to the ACP but I would like them to add events. Can they add events through the forum, like creating a new post?

Thanks all and looking forward to using this mod.

Neil

this certainly looked a great program. i couldn't wait to get installed and configured. however, after i installed it i need some technical advise.
After posting nearly 3 months ago now i still have not received any news from the developer.  the MOD remains useable on my forums.

Very disappointing support, recommend do not purchase unless you can fix things yourself.

DO we know when we ll have some features available?
Features like:

1) Members can post events
2) Admin creates event templates (so members post events through those templates)
3) Of course custom fields on the template!
4) Event approval
5) Members can see events sorted by ANY field(even the custom ones)
6) Post photos after the event took place(i.e. if it is a party to show to the rest people how fun was).
7) Comments on the photos/approval/ word filters
8) Ability of creating "DAtabases" so when the user post an event selct from there

That is for now!

Hope to see most of them implemented!

This sounds like a great mod - one which I'm keen to purchase and implement on my site. Any updates on this mod being IPB v3.0 compliant yet?

DONT BUY THIS MOD... there's simply no support for it, I've dispatched numerous emails to the maker himself Chinaj and posts here, But,he has simply not responded to any.

GET the money and run comes to mind. Total waste of money if you ask me ….

This is not a total waste of money, it is good for those that need it, but it takes some effort to learn what is needed to be done to make it work for you, is worst comes to worst, set-up a service request with Invision Modding (using the drop down at the top of the page) and one of the service providers can help get stuff done.

Despite the relative "unsupported" status of this mod, it is an awesome mod.

I've been using this mod for a year now - on 2.3.6

There are a few small issues, but nothing I can't work around.

I'm eager to find out if there is an upgrade for IPB 3.0+ as I'd really like to move to that to improve performance.

Any ideas or news?

I'm assuming RSVP 4.2 doesn't work with IPB 3?

I've taken the job of updating RSVP Event Management System/RSVP Coytote System originally made by bfarber and China J.
The app will still be paid, but the price will not be greater than what it is today. If anything, I'd lower it.

If you have any suggestions for the IP.Board 3.1 release, please raise your voice now.
I try to add most feature added, but I may prioritize them based on the reputation points for the post.

Planned/already added features for v1.0
  • Multiple events, which will be shown in a list similar to forums and topics (Added)
  • Ability to add events from the public side (Added)
  • fURLs, of course (Added)
  • Event moderators
  • Event topics
  • Event comments
