Allows each member to add a song to their profile which will play whenever their profile is viewed. Admins can edit member's songs through the ACP. Volume control and pause / stop buttons.

• Added ability for members to show Author and Song Title
• Now has its own area in profile
• Fixed lang issue

Version 1.2

• Added ability to enable / disable the entire system
• Added ability to enable / disable auto-start

Version 1.3

• Added ability to enable / disable Song Repeat
• Added User-Group Permissions (All groups can view/listen, but you specify which groups can add a song to their own profile)

Version 1.4

• Changed the player to a Flash Player (much nicer)

Great mod, had some difficulties installing but he helped me through it!

It's a nice add-on for people who want to let their users post songs in their profile, ultimately adding a nicer environment to your forum

i have tested this on my site (2.3.2) and SRMN's site (2.2.2) and can verify that it works great on both. To find a song URL, try sites like:

http://www.projectplaylist.com

search for a song and it will give you its URL.

For version 1.1 i plan to add another field to let the Member tell the Author and Title of the song...and then version 2.0 will hopefully allow the members to upload straight to their profiles.

Yes it is in there a total of 8 times. Unfortunately you have no version numbers so somewhere someday it will become confusing.

when i put the song url in and save it after it is saved there is nothing in there, so no song plays

Go back through and make sure you did all the edits correctly, especially the edits in action_admin/member.php

I have installed this 3 times now and im certain it works.

also, cant wait for version 2.0 when they can upload songs straight to there profile.
would also be cool if we could set permissions, so that we could make this an earned option

maybe also a 5 song playlist feature where members can have a MAXIMUM of 5 songs uploaded that will be chosen at random? not a big deal but something to think bout

how bout a built in player so that not everyone has to download QUICKTIME.
it would make things ALOT easier

freshly uploaded v1.2 which contains those settings, the settings are in the Tools and Settings tab of the ACP, scroll down to [RC23]Songs in Profiles.

Btw, i would just like to add now that I am very sorry if the Install Instructions are hard to understand or if I dont seem to give enough information about certain things. I am used to just writing them, messing around until they work, and then never thinking about what I actually did. I am new to publicly releasing the mods I write and sometimes i forget to include things that are important.

thats a little beyond my comprehension, but I will look into it...it might be easier if I changed from quicktime to windows media player, i think alot more people have WMA then quicktime.

oh, to upgrade from v1.1 to v1.2 (with the new ACP settings), all you need to do is upload the new mod_install directory, and re-run that in the Universal Mod Installer (the re-install option)...then redo ONLY the skin edits.
