I am just hosting to test how well the iPod touch works on heavily coded pages and such. So far it has exceeded my expectations by a mile. The screen displays full dialogue as well as images and everything else imaginable EXCEPT no Flash player. But that is a very minor thing to me. Even typing is simply amazing and fast. The time it is taking me to type this is merely around one minute. Does anyone else have an iPod touch? Sorry for rambling.

I have decided to not jump on this bandwagon.
Enjoy your new toy though.

Just a regular iPod classic. A guy at work here has the iPod touch. I like it, it's flashy and all that, but the capacity is way less than the iPod classic.

i Agree, the classic has 10x the space as the touch and i must admit i do like the sleek design and the "touch" ability i would rather go for the space instead of "touch" ability and Wi-Fi

I use my laptop mostly too (listening to my music on it right now, as a matter of fact) but I like to use my iPod for the commute to and from work and when reading in the evenings in bed.

It's only small because of the limits of flash memory. It's out of Apple's control. In the future though, it'll be a very desirable product

I don't think it's out of apples control... The reason being is flash was much desired due to the original concept of it being a phone handset. However iTouch is not a phone so the flash memory is just garbage really. They should have released it with the normal hard drive as the device is really simply a ipod. I guess it was there feable attempt to keep the chinese from making more money before they did as the chinese released a version back in May called ITouch as well just shortly after iPhone release that is similar to Apples http://www.pmptoday.com/2007/07/26/chinese...g-pasen-itouch/
If it meant a lil more thickness to have the hard drive, that would have been fine with me.

Two week old topic but I didn't want to start a new one.
I plan on buying either an iPod Touch or iPhone in the future, but I need to make sure I have a steady job to pay for an iPhone.(main reason I want an iPhone is that it IS a mp3 player and a cell phone, both in which I desire) Do websites display much better than that of a Playstation Portable?

I personally have no desire to shell out $400 is it for an iPhone as cool as they are. I'm fine with my 4 year old phone and 2 year old MP3 existing separately

They are awsome, but the only downfall is the lack of space on both. You can demo them at the Apple Stores, BestBuy and a few other places. Apple store is the best place to try them.
The i-Touch seriously needs to be outfitted with a normal ipod hard-drive as the flash drive is small and not necessary for a mp3 player. For the phone the flash drive I can understand.
But as always you know what will happen as soon as you buy one right??? The new improved model will quickly surface

Heh, well I know I can't afford it anyway at the moment anyway.
30 Gigs would satisfy me.

Yeah, I'd love the iPhone - the capacity just sucks

No, it works like an iPod, because it is an iPod, not an iPhone, lol.
But you can buy speakers separately from some place for it if you want.

Could you take a picture with a good wallpaper? All screen-shots I've seen, official anyway only use a black screen.
