- They should be an active modder, having produced several different mods so far, and continuing to produce new mods.
- They should provide support for their work on the sites they offer it at.
- They should have a reputation as being a helpful, friendly, easy to understand member.
- They should be following the common 'best practices' when they mod, things like text in language files, HTML in templates, IPB-style coding, etc.
We'll be selecting this intial list of candidates in the next few days, then contacting them to see if they are interested. The plan as of now is to select an initial group of up to 3 members, and then monthly the staff (and probably the other Modders) will discuss if there are any other new qualified candidates to invite. So in case you are interested in joining this group and don't get initially selected, don't give up hope! Just keep on modding and wait for your opportunity.
One other plan we have been kicking around to go along with this is to start conducting interviews of these new Modders. Over time we plan on expanding this to conduct interviews of the staff here, as well as possibly other well-known figures in the Invision community. These interviews will hopefully give you a little bit more insight into what makes these folks tick.
As always, your feedback about these new changes is welcome
