I get this question asked regularly, so I felt I should probably just make an announcement topic here so I can direct people to this.
At this time, only staff members have access to sell their modifications or skins on this site. The 'Store' modification we have here only allows one person to sell their products, so as the owner of the site and the one with the most products to sell, I use it for my sales. All other staff members get to open topics in the various for sale forums. We're only allowing staff members to sell from this right now because we have nothing in place yet to protect ourselves from any fraudulent transactions that anyone else might make.
However, you should be advised that the wheels are in motion behind the scenes to rectify this at some point. So if you are someone who produces modifications and/or skins for IPB that you want to sell, we will be having a system in place for you to do that in the near future. There is no ETA as it is something that requires development time to implement, and finding that time can be challenging, but rest assured that it is happening. So keep your eyes peeled for further announcements!

Sounds pretty much fair enough Michael.
It would be good to have this system open to the public very soon though, as I feel that lots of people would take advantage of it, not just the Invision Modding staff. I am not the world's greatest coder/designer, so I am not likely to be in that category, but I will sure think about buying some modifications for my new free hosting service (or until I release it). Keep up the good work Michael, it's a pleasure to be a part of this community.

If I could put this system in place today, I would.

Is there any way for people who make modifications to put up a notice that they would like to be hired for a project? I would like to find a project to work on, but not sure where I should post or how to do that.

You could always just check out the Mod Discussion forum and look for topics where people are asking for mods.
