I have good news and bad news. The good news is that our site is getting more popular all the time. The bad news is that this extra activity we get is causing us to outgrow our hosting package. This has been leading to problems such as database crashes, slow page loads, and unfortunately, a 'site suspended' message earlier today. So the time has come for us to move hosts once again.
I have a new host with a much roomier package bought and paid for now, and will work tonight on transferring everything over there. As with any server move, we'll have to change our domain name servers, and this may lead to some downtime while those changes propogate across the internet. I'll do what I can to ensure the downtime is as minimal as possible.
This is short notice, I know, but we had to move quickly on this for fear of getting shut down for even longer. So if you come here for the next 24-48 hours and see us offline, have no fear, we will be back!

I hope all goes well with the move Michael. Out of curiosity, how much disk space, bandwidth and other features are you getting?

Hope the move goes well, I got the ASO account suspended this morning.
The reason I left ASO about a year ago was because someone on my shared server was taxing resources slowing or shutting down the server. But it was a problem complained about in their forum on many servers. Methinks that they tend to oversell shared hosting, however I don't know about their dedicated or semi-dedicated.
I'm happy now with Hostgator except that if you do have a problem their ticket service is very slow.

I use HostGator as a reseller. I must say that everything I have experienced has been extremely professional and quite reliable and efficient. I haven't used their ticket service, but their live support is top class. I recommend that rather then using support tickets Sandi.

200GIG bandwith? that is pretty crappy for a dedicated server

I love it when servers don't hold the ideal about space and bandwidth you like and then got keep moving due high amount traffic etc but hope goes all fine and Lindsey sounds like small server to me but ha its server.

I know the definition, but I'm not sure what the bandwidth and storage really mean in hosting packages. In the fine print of the contract you will find something about using resources.
For instance if I was to use half of my 6 terabytes (jeez wouldn't I love to have that much traffic) bandwidth, they would shut down ASAP for "over use of resources," which is a fine print out for them. There is just no way that they can have that much traffic on a shared server with 2 CPUs. Nor do I think I would really be allowed to use most of my 600Gbyte allotted storage.

LunarPages is the host I am hosting my forum and I must say they are wonderful. Very nice telephone support and ticket system. Extremely satisfied with them so far and I have been with them for over 2 years.

All moved over ?
As earlier I had a 404 from your new host. (I assume while the DNS was changing)

Yeah, most everything is moved over right now, and the DNS was changed a while ago, still will obviously take some time for that to fully propogate. Have some odds and ends to clean up before I can call this move 'done' though.
