Hi, Mike.

Seeing as we've now moved to a fantastic hosting company (caro.net), and we've had absolutely no problems with the server, you're more than welcome to continue your hosting with me.

All the problems we had before was because of JaguarPC, but have to say that Caro are excellent. Fast support and the server is massive.

We have 2 x 500Gb's HDD, 4Gb's RAM, so I'm sure we can accommodate you.  ;)

Just shoot me a PM if I can be of any help.

Hope you have/had a great vacation.

Cheers,

Ian

OK, so we have once again switched hosts.  Bondian is once again nice enough to host our site, and thus far everything I see looks good.  The site seems nice and zippy, IP.Converge is running good, and no one has complained yet about not getting their emails on this server.

I know it came as a bit of a shock yesterday to see that we were down, and I apologize for that.  I got the day off yesterday rather unexpectedly, so yesterday was going to be the only day for a while I'd really have time to do this move, so I had to take advantage of that.

To everyone else who gave me hosting offers, I appreciate it.  I got too many to go through and thank you all personally, so hopefully this will suffice.

If anyone sees any problems, be sure to report them in the feedback and bugs forum. ;)

I was wondering why I had a IPS Driver Error the whole day :-P, because I use OpenDNS as soon as you switch the DNS stuff, I am on the new server. So obviously I was on so quick, you hadn't finished yet ;)!

Welcome to the new server, Mike. Glad the move went well.  ;)

Typical isn't it. There's me saying the server's reliable, then it goes down. Have to say this is very rare. Service so far has been excellent.

Just had this answer from support.

Quote

Service was partially interrupted this morning effecting approximately 60% of the normal transit volume.

Per the diagnosis during the issue there were route inconsistencies between our ospf layer and our bgp layer causing a number of prefixes to die within our network. Further troubleshooting did not provide any tangible evidence as to why this issue originally occurred

I'm glad to help you out again, my friend.

All the best.

Cheers,

Ian

Michael - we have been with Voxel since 2004 and have been really happy with them.  Not sure what your budget is, but we have two dedicated servers with them and they have been rock solid and very proactive with their customer service. There is a minor learning curve, but someone like yourself would have a short bell curve getting the basics down.

If you have questions, feel free to PM me.

Peace.

This server rocks. In fact I've no complaints about the server or service since we've moved to Caro.

If you can afford a little more, I can highly recommend them.

https://www.caro.net/

BTW. I do not work for them or have any shares.  ;) Just like to give credit where credits due.

Cheers,

Ian
