I agree there, I've put my time and effort into something thats been in development since Christmas, announce copyright removal prices, which I thought were reasonable (£29.99?) and instantly get criticised for it, but if it were a skin, that'd be another issue.

just ignore them
only people that always want free stuff will critiicize prices n the reasons behind that r pretty obvious lol

And MetalAxe's is just a shop plugin (eCommerce). This is so much more!
I think people underestimate the time and effort that are put into a modification. Paying several hundreds of dollars for a custom skin is no problem, but $40-$100 for a massive modification/components is suddenly expensive?

these are good reasons not to create free mods again! until they realize how important are the mods
they probably judge things by what their eyes see, not with what it do or how it works.

yes yes looks indeed cost more, and not only skins cost more than mods but also flashes cost more than skins and 3ds cost more than flash so on the list continues...
- simple enough, they are different categories and technologies, it is like comparing food to clothes, yes both important for you to look in shape and both used by same body but you can't compare their prices or why people will eat cheap and buy expensive cloth or opposite, i used to see since day one designers getting paid more than modders but in return also you will find lot of good modders and no more than couple of good designers in the medium.
- and free mods are important, you need to make free mods, free mods have the ability to get u reputation and speed up the process of getting known while still learning, lot of people are known already even though they still can do only small to medium mods, that is the charm of free mods.
-beside since there is allot of coders in the medium so you need to have popularity and to show up reqularly, making your name familiar to people who might be your future customers. i used to think normally any customer would favor to have a job with someone that he already have one of his mods installed on his board even if free mod, it just make him feel i know this coder and used to his work. (how about if have 4 of 5 of your mods installed )

not only those will complain about prices... real customers also will complain about prices if it is over, which is a good sign, it is like the pain in ur body which can indicate either false alarm or sickness that need attention, so it is up to you to just ignore them or to go analyse where they come from.
For mike, The system screenshots looks good, and the price is fit for a profit based type of system, so best of luck and waiting for a demo soon , are you gonna have betatesting or will go for official release directly, anyway keep your good work coming.

Sorry I haven't been able to put a new version out there for testing recently, got a new laptop here at work and have been busy migrating my stuff over to it. Will try to get the final 0.3.x release up there as soon as I can.

Some work did start again afterwards however (again, going back a little) Nexus was in development (formerly IP.Commerce) the CSC project was stopped as Nexus would fulfil all it did and more.
