It's 2009, and time to unveil our all new InvisionModding News blog!  We plan on using this blog to give you updates on the site about some of the new features you'll be seeing around here.

First off, the official release of IP.Board 3.0.0 should be coming soon.  The staff here have been hard at work learning all of the new tricks this software will allow to make their mods even better.  All efforts are being made to upgrade our mods to work on this new software, while also making them a lot easier to install.  You'd be surprised at how some mods that required lots of file edits before can now be installed in a matter of seconds using the new hooks system!  There are some bugs in the product at this point which are keeping us from updating all of our mods at this point, but expect to see these updated mods out-and-about very soon.  Remember that here and IPS Resources are going to be the only places to get many of these mods when they are released. :)

Also with the new updates to IP.Board 3.0.0, development of the Client Service Center component will begin again.  All existing code from the 2.x version of the component will be updated and the planned new features will be added.  Expect to see the first public viewing of this component to take place sometime in the first half of 2009.  We plan on getting this out there for the public as soon as possible so you can help us guide its development with the features you want to see.

To help with some of the projects we have planned, both those above and some as-of-yet unannounced ones, we are working on getting a new project management suite set up for the staff's use here.  We will use this software to help organize our staff members into teams for the various projects and to keep a concise list of tasks that need done for the completion of each project.  The staff has already started working with this new internal site of ours and it should be a big help in keeping us on track so as to get the new projects out to you even sooner.

Remember, here at InvisionModding, we are dedicated to providing you with the best resources and support to help your community, as well as provide you with the best user experience possible.  We can only do this when you let us know how we're doing and what else you'd like to see from us, so please take the time to give us this feedback. :)

One final note, we are currently planning on making it a goal of ours to publish a new entry in this blog once a week, with any new updates on the announced projects or to announce other new ones.  This may not always happen if we don't have a lot to report, but sometimes even the "we updated a whole bunch of code" type of blog posts can be interesting for some people. ;)

It's not a bot, it's just a staff account ;)
