Don't worry folks, we have not forgotten about this blog!  The past couple of weeks have been a little busy for the staff, with some of us having some 'real life' stuff that has kept us away.  But we've also been working hard on new IP.Board 3 stuff for this site and for the products we offer.

First, let me start off by mentioning that, as you can see, actual staff members are going to be posting in this blog, not just using a generic staff account to post here.  All staff members have access to post in here, so you should see several of us posting here about what we've been doing.

For the past couple weeks I have been kept busy learning about IP.Board 3.  I've been working on getting our components that we use here upgraded, and also learning how to use the hooks system to create super easy to install mods.  Yesterday I released my first IP.Board 3 mod, Members Online Today.  The mod works fine in beta 2, as long as you work around the couple of bugs in the system; beta 3 should fix these problems.

If you've downloaded that mod, you'll notice the instructions are in a new format.  It's something we've been kicking around for a while, we wanted something fresh and more modern looking.  Since we have so many mods to release, and we wanted our instructions to be consistent, we put together a script we are using to be able to build those files.  So if you do have any issues with how we do those new instructions, better let us know now before we release too many that we have to go back and change.

My personal plan is to try and crank out a couple more hook mods for beta 2, then hopefully get an application out there.  Look for those to be coming in the next few weeks. ;)

I installed Members Online Today probably hundreds of times for people in IPB2, so I look forward to doing the same for IPB3.

And maybe one day I'll post in the blog...when I come up with something important enough ;)

They're using builders? Sweet!

The speed at which you're adapting is quite impressive I should add. ;)

Mike-

You ROCK! I'm waiting to upgrade my forums until all your mods are 3.0 compliant! If it wasn't for InvisionModding.com and you, my site wouldn't be what it is. Thank you.
