After upgrading the Board to 2.36 I receive Topic/ Post notification even if i have disabled that option.

Is this a bug or what could be the reason?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Check this:
ACP > TOOLS & SETTINGS > User Profiles >> Automatically subscribe to every forum
Maybe you enable this option for your group.

QUESTION:

I happen to accidentally select "Automatically subscribe to every forum" for our members (I know .. dumb).

After complaints of spam I did discover what I had done and reverted back.... but it seems people are still getting these emails.

Am I missing something? Can't I undo it as easily as I did it?

Help :)

It should (in theory) stop that after you change it off.

Go back to Tools / Settings (same area as DawPi said) and set 'Auto prune all topic subscriptions if the topic has no replies over [x] days' to 1 (caution do not set to 0 as that means 'never stop')

See if that stops it.
