So I love the idea of just a couple of lines.

That's a convincing argument.

Even if I dont understand the hype around that channel i think twitter could be used to increase generic traffic and with it the audience of a online website, community etc.
In the last weeks some SEO gurus have published articles where they come to the conviction, that Google would grab Headlines in a similar way like the SE did it with Blogs.

I'm wondering, if it would be possible to share automatically recent topics (titles) at twitter, which have been recently posted at a community?
Twitter comes with an API but i dont know if it would be possible to connect it with IPB. A RSS Export would be nice, but obviously twitter don't offer such a solution.

Totally possible, trough a 3rd party service named TwitterFeed.

I use it on an account for IM, where it exports the recent downloads and IM News blog entries.

Mine is @TheRealBitter

I use it for updating my clients on things going on with my site, but I also use it to tell the world my thoughts, because obviously they are so interested in what I think. And I keep track of things my friends post as well.

Michael,

I use Twitter. It's a very good way for any business to promote specific things to those who are interested in what they provide.
I tweet random artist information about art, comedy, literature and music entertainment either from my MySpace.com friends list or soon to be Artist411.com.

I choose to update periodically so spam isn't a issue with my followers.

Artist411 web-site doesn't work. As for me I think myspace is too spammy, I prefer - ReverbNation

Have you seen that twitter-zwitter video?
