I thought the instructions state that one should just use an '*' - for all pages.

/forums/index.php
/forums/index.php?
/forums/index.php?/index
/forums/index.php?
/forums/index.php?/index
Those don't seem to work for me.

You may have to change 'forums' to what you use. What is your path from the root?

Is that a typo re the double slash?
If not, you drop the '/forums'. That is why I only gave a suggestion. As explained in the readme, it is the relative path to the individual pages.

Hmm... I've used just the /index.php and still nothing. That's weird.

Why don't you allow the IPB default skin temporariliy and see if it works there. You are using a custom skin. There may be a problem with your custom skin and this hook.

Not a problem.
I suggest you include ALL the various possibilities for just the index page.

Yes, just put * into the 'page to display the message on' setting.

Love this mod. Wanted to make a suggestion. Maybe you could add an option to have several forum messages that could be alternated, sometimes I really want to have 2 or 3 different messages to show and it's a bit of a downer that I have to choose between one of them. So alternation possibilities would definitely be a great add-on for this.

I have gotten this suggestion many times before. To do that would change this from being a hook to being its own application in order to store all of that data. It's not feasible for the purpose of this mod: to give a quick temporary message to selected users.
