Glad to see this as a public release finally, I actually had one made custom for me a long time ago but it never worked quite right and I ended up not needing it anways... I may give this a go though, just one question.  When you say "Allows Members that have posted View private forums", does that mean that any member who posted in the private forum can see the entire forum? Or that they can only see their own threads in that forum?

Tom: http://www.invisionm...showtopic=38251 I believe the most popular use would be to have a Support Ticket type forum without the need for a ticket system.

It does if have IPB3 yes many people feel like stay 2.3.x

Also i going look making this mod little more better over course time, via adding more functions to this i plan making my current mod hide topics, password topics and few other mods into one mod so will hide topics, forums and both will have password fields if admin like to have this.

Thanks for this Pete ;)

I don't recall if IPB handles this already through forum user permissions, but captcha for guest posting would be useful if you do any updates

If its something IPB does not handle already, it would be nice to choose which member groups are forced to use captcha for both new topics AND replies.

regards

Rich

Mr Pete this mod contain the same problems i found in nyyankeefans's tutorial : http://forums.invisi...um-t130054.html

any guest can see the topics in the forum , also if the topic starter send the link to any member , this member can read and reply the topic , I'm sure that I made right edits on files .

So members who post in this forum can view only their own thread or the entire forum(all threads)?

Only there posts the members can see so lets say if member1 post 3 posts they only see 3 posts, if member2 post 1 post they see just that one post.

Having read your replies Pete, are guests not allowed to post? as this is one major area where support forums fall down. Members who are not able to login is a major help desk topic and as a result I feel it is important to allow guests to be able to post topics, with captcha for new topics and replies, to avoid spamming

is it possible to do this?

regards

Richard.
