Hey michael, great mod!

Just one thing I noticed... it does not post a topic in the introductions section on my board when I tested out registering. Everything else seems to work fine..

What do you have filled out for the Topic Settings group in Admin CP > My Apps > Auto Welcome Membeers?

hey nice man working fine as far as what i needed (auto pm part) Havent tried the rest. I was wondering if you could tell me what the profile link would be so I can add it in the pm for the members .....you know kinda like the old one.The setting you have says View XXXX profile. Can we just have it be a link to the profile and it says Profile?

I wanted it to be like this...

Welcome! You can start out by making a post in our Member Introduction forum or setup your profile.

So when they click "Profile" it takes them to it?

Just a couple of things to try out:
1. Re-download again and re-install, the auto validate bug was fixed only recently.
2. Remember this is for IPB 3.0.0 only, RC2 won't work.
3. Try manually adding members via the admin cp to see if that makes a difference (only non validating groups).

This is a language bit and can be changed in your Admin CP.

Hmm, I wonder if they have to go through the validation process? Because I have it where they don't have to validate... I am also using IPB 3.0.0

EDIT: I did add a member via ACP and it worked... Now going to try and register a new member via board...

Alright... It did not work when I had validation turned off. However, when I switched validation to user email, and validated, it did post the topic.

Looks like the new IPB3 post topic function checks for permissions, specifically the current member that is posting permissions. (Not the member you set as the topic author.) Because when you auto validate IPB still recognizes you as a guest, it's checking does the current member (guest) have permission to post in the introductions forum.

I'll report this to IPS as a bug but this might be intentionally set this way. Until I can find a fix or work around, you should disable topic posting.

Can this be enabled even if you are hosted by IPS?

Does IPS give you access to FTP? I think IPS hosted files are encoded? There are some edits needed in this mod, which you won't be able to do if your board is encoded.

That answers my question then, because some files are encoded I had to edit. Is there a way around editing them,or maybe the edits aren't 100% needed?
