I like the idea but when I click on the "Members" tab, it also selects the custom tab.

Otherwise, it works great

I just changed the 'parse variable' to anything and it will stop selecting the custom tab when ' Members' is clicked.

Never mind is causes skin cache error.

i changed it to this:

<li id='nav_discussion' class='left {parse variable="customActive'><a href='http://URLHERE'>YOURTABNAMEHERE</a></li>

I replaced the memberActive to customActive so now the highlight works.
So far it works great.

How do I change the position of the new tab, because it either puts it all the way to the left or all the way to the right?

No possible, as you then had to squish that info in the middle of the array holding information about all your other applications.
