Well, I always hated Microsoft. Unless there are JS codes in the block i have NO idea why this would happen.

I know that feeling about IE but a lot of our members use it, this only happens when you remove the side hooks from the skin in the file edits. Even with no other blocks in use

Syntax help please.
What do I put in the include/exclude to only get blocks to show in certain forums? For instance, I have a forum called Rec Centre (index.php?/forum/20-rec-center/) where I might want a block of youtube funnies but do not want the block of youtube politics to show. Or/and, how do I stop them showing on the index page?

So you will need to enter in the Include rules:
showforum=2
and it will display only when viewing forum #2.
Hint: to normalize the SEO urls to the correct format to place in the include/exclude pars use the Tool available with the modification in the ACP.

Thanks very much. I'd worked out act=idx (I was spelling it index). I'd even got the showforum in at one stage but was using the title out of the URL.
I know, I know, keep it simple stupid

There was no update released. And yet again you can view if there was an update released from the Check Update menu in the application management screen in the ACP.

Right, seems to be a slight problem with IE8, when you do the edits and then try and open / close any boxs it displays a compatibility problem and enables compatibility mode

It's only a problem if a logged in member logs out.
Now to start disabling things one at a time to see which cures the problem.

Please try the following:
In the FTP Open Public/js/ips.board.js
Find:
replace with:
Save and upload.
Now go to the ACP -> Look & Feel -> Edit a skin set -> Global Templates -> blockWrapperCatBlock -> Replace all the contents inside with the following:
Repeat for every skin you have.
Then
In the ACP -> Templates -> Global Templates -> HookedWrapper ->
Find:
Add right before that:
Let me know if that did it.
In the FTP Open Public/js/ips.board.js
Find:
if( cookies[ abcdefg ] )
replace with:
if( cookies[ abcdefg ] > 0 )
Save and upload.
Now go to the ACP -> Look & Feel -> Edit a skin set -> Global Templates -> blockWrapperCatBlock -> Replace all the contents inside with the following:
<div class='category_block block_wrap'>
<h3 id='category_1000{$block['block_id']}' class='maintitle'>
<a class='toggle right' href='#' title='{$this->lang->words['toggle_cat']}'>{$this->lang->words['toggle_cat']}</a>
{$block['block_title']}</h3>
<table class='ipb_table'>
<tr class='catTable'>
<td class='altrow'>{$block['block_content']}</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div><br />
Repeat for every skin you have.
Then
In the ACP -> Templates -> Global Templates -> HookedWrapper ->
Find:
{$html}
Add right before that:
Let me know if that did it.

Just to let you know ... all the IE8 users that I know about have returned with posts such as "I haven't been able to log in since the upgrade". Thanks once again for the fix

I was wondering if you are able to edit the width and height of the custom blocks.
