Yes. You can create them as tabs or one single tab entitled "Applications" (for example) and all of those will be in it's drop down menu.

Very nice, Vince... Installed and working. I have just 3 points to tell you:

1 - it's missing the tab Calendar on your XML; already told you that but I think it's better to tell you here.
2 - I've created another (ROOT) tab for the RULES but the 'focus' stays on this new tab and FORUM, although they have different keys:

Posted Image

3 - On default 'tab system', when I'm viewing a forum/topic or creating/replying to a topic, the FORUM tab is ON... after install this app, this doesn't happen. On this next image, I'm in a topic:

1. I know i will add that for the next release.
2. That's the problem. the forums tab and the rules tab uses the same application so both rules apply when you view either. Meaning the forums tab url probablt is domain.com/index.php?app=forums the rules url is index.php?app=forums&module=rules or something like that. Notice that both uses the same application that's why both are apply when you view either of them. For the second problem, I noticed you use the url index.php?act=idx for the forums tab but that's incorrect because when you view the topics the act= is actually topics when you view forum the act= is forums etc... so enter in the URL instead of index.php?act=idx index.php?app=forums and that should work.

First that setting has no effect (i guess i forgot to remove it) so ignore it. After you have done the template edits do you still see the default system navigation?

Sorry, I did not realise that file edits were required and I missed that part in the readme

I guess I just assumed that as this was an application that no edits were required and anything that changed was done via hooks.

No. There is a single file edit and one template edit. Just to let you know and everyone else, The way IPB 3 is handles is that we can only use hooks within the 'application' directories. Meaning the hooks can be created and used only in the files that located inside application and applicaiton_addons. And the file required edit in this directory is outside of that structure so no hooks can apply there.

Hello Vince, I have a few 'pre-sale' questions if it's ok? So basically this application can add an extra drop-down menu to each of the 3 primary tabs I have on there (for example: 'Forums', 'Members' and 'Calendar' tabs)? Like, if I wanted to add a drop-down menu to the 'Forums' tab with links to several forums/topics on the board, then if I wanted to add yet another drop-down list to the 'Members' tab with other links, I could also? What if I wanted to add a new 'Sports' tab and add a drop-down menu to that so members can choose from a variety of other sports sites to go to, etc. Can that be done as well?
Also, does the file come with a 'read me' that will explain the instructions on how to edit this application? Last, but not least, any idea when the current bugs will be fixed and when Custom Navigation v1.1 will be released? I'm interesting in purchasing it, but would rather wait for the next release when the current known bugs are fixed. I'm using IP.Board v3.0.1 with license by the way. Thanks in advance and nice looking application Vince. Especially since it works for IP.Boards.  ;)

I cannot get this working even after the file/template edits as the install has removed template bits from the globalTemplate as in the attached image.

If I rebuild without selecting the navigation bits then they come back but the navigation bits are removed. Then if I rebuild everything or just the navigation bits then it is the same as before (ie; missing bits)

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it does the same.

Robert could i take a look at your board please? PM with some ACP information if you can.

Chito, This modification will replace the current navigation so when you install this one you will have no tabs at all (until you add ones yourself or import the XML file attached with the modification in order to have back the default tabs of the forums, members). You can add as many tabs as you like, you can add as many sub items into tabs as you like.

Just to let you know that this modification works fine, I havn't gotten any complaints yet but the ones posted here, You can view an online example of the modification online at  http://forum.sosinvision.com.br/ Adriano and other customers had no problems with it so far.

Ok thanks Vince.

I clicked the link you provided, but I don't see any working drop-down menus on that site. I've seen the screenshots you provide, but you don't happen to have a link to a site that's actually using this application live? I'd just like to see how it looks on a live board. Thanks.

Oh, I wanted to ask about what you say here:

Quote

Does it have to be the e-mail we registered with? Or can it be a different 'valid' e-mail? I'm in the process of changing Internet providers, so I don't want to end up giving out an e-mail that will not work sometime soon.
