I am thinking of installing XAMPP, but I already have Oracle installed in my HDD. So, will there be any compatible issues if I install XAMPP in my computer? Thanks in advance.

I had both running, but have since switched to WAMP.  Again, no issues.  I also have IIS running on this machine.  Lots of fun. ;)

Ok, I am going to install it tomorrow for sure. By the by, if you don't mind my asking, why did you switch to WAMP? Is it an improvement over XAMPP? Thanks  ;)

I installed xampp, but I am having a problem starting apache service. Please take a look at the pic. The 'admin' button is not clickable and there is no indication that the service is 'running'. I went to http://localhost/xampp/splash.php but got a 'website not found' error message. Mysql service started just fine...no problem there. What could be the reason for Apache to not start? Should I choose a different port? By the by, I have oracle installed on my system.

Try starting it as a Service by placing a check mark in Svc.

Look in the error log. Think it's located in c:/xampp/log(s)/.

May be Apache service for oracle because I have oracle installed on my system. How do I go about fixing it?
