I noticed in freebie forums like IPBFree you could change the color of your username with html. However, you can't in IPB?
I'd like to change my display name on my forums to work with HTML so I could change the color (NOT ONLY JUST IN THE WHOS ONLINE LIST).
Please offer advice ^^

go to Members > Manage User Groups

Enter something like this in Prefix: <span style='color:red;'><strong>
Enter something like this in Suffix: </strong></span>

That doesn't work! it only changes it for the online list, not the username itself!

If your on about topics, it's because it's CSS controlled.

In the IPB_STYLES.CSS enter the colouring in there

.admin {
color: #FF0000;
font-weight: bold;
}

then in the prefex

<span class="admin">

suffex

</span>

Not saying it will work. But I'm having to go out so when I come back I'll text it and work something out if it doesn't.

Display names, as in the names that show IN topics!
I was told I had to edit the SQL tables and change the varchar's to TEXT but even that didnt work

I successfully installed this, not sure exactly how to setup the images for the display name.  Could someone please explain this to me further.  Thank you

I've seen mods that change the user name color on the whole board. I can't remember them off the top of my head, but they are out there. Can you also update your profile to include your forum URL? Thanks!
