Did you mean for IP.Board or IP.Downloads ?

If you meant board: ACP > Forums > Manage Forums >

On the top right there's a button 'Add New Category' , click that and then simply choose which groups will be able to see the new Category.

The category will not show until there is a forum inside it, so when you have created it, create a forum inside it.

No problem ;)

Moving topic to IP. Downloads

To create a new category:

ACP > My Apps > Download Manager > Click 'Categories' (left side menu) >

On the right hand side of the Category page, click 'Add New Category'

Fill the form in, its quite straightforward (just work your way through each 'tab' of it) , then click 'Add Category' when done.

:-(

i tried that and its not there...

I get to admin Download Manager Modules

Then left click on "Categories"

this brings me to an "edit module" page with nothing on the right side

If i click on the right hand side of the modules page i just can edit details or remove module...

what am i doing wrong?

or was it not installed correctly by my IT admin?

thanks!

You're probably looking in the wrong place, your description sounds like you are attempting to edit the application itself (wrong screen) do not use Manage Applications.

Use the My App's menu in the ACP dropdown (the last 'tab') ;)
