Hi there,

On the board index you can see the shoutbox is at the top of the forum. I would like to instead reduce its width and have it fit BELOW the last forum 'Nightly Chat'.

I have successfully moved/deleted other modules (or 'hooks') in the past by copying/pasting code in various template files (such as 'boardIndexTemplate'), but I do not see any code indicative of the shoutbox in ANY template file.

I'm assuming there is some kind of a shoutbox javascript file that 'injects' the code 'below such-and-such tag' inside 'such-and-such template' - but I have no idea if this is even the case.

If someone can direct me to the right files needed to accomplish this I can take care of styling the width and moving this damn thing to where I want it to. There's gotta be a way to do this.

Moving to Community Projects

You do not need to start editing files to do that.

ACP > 'system' > Tools / Settings > IP.Shoutbox > 'Hook Global Shoutbox' > 'Hook to enable?' = 'Bottom of each page'

Recache your skins after changing this > Look / Feel > Template Tools > 'Recache Skin Sets'

Thank you very much AndyF - this helped me at least get it off the top of the page. Is there a way I can have it appear ABOVE the part that displays the forum statistics (active users etc..)? This is definitely much better than before but I'm afraid now it's way too far down on the page for users to see it.
