As the error says :)

You need to make a category first.

ACP > My Apps > Download Manager > Categories > 'Add New Category'

Fill the form in, note it has some tabs (so look at every page)

Edit the category and click the 'Category Options' tab. Scroll down a bit and find 'Maximum file sizes allowed (in kB)'

15360 is 15mb

A new topic would of been better as that is not IP.Downloads related ;)

ACP > Members > Manage User Groups > (edit a group) > 'Global' tab > 'Uploading'

Change 'Per Post Upload Limit' to 15360

You need to put 'Global Upload Limit' higher than this too.

You are only really limited by the settings in php.ini

If all that happens is a silent redirect to the board, its probably post_max_size is not high enough. Contact your host again and ask for this to be increased.

The reason for the silent redirect is if you exceed that, the file is never passed to IP.B at all, so as far as it is concerned, there was no file. I'm reasonably sure it is this, as I've seen it happen with Gallery too.

I do not think it is because it is a .rar file, if you attempt to upload a file with an unknown extension, it will display an error telling you this.
