Invision Modding,

So for the last 3 days I have been working on this project I am calling IPB Skinner Offline. Now before I get into it let it be known that this is now a software, computer program, or skin generator. Also I am posting this to get your thoughts and opnions on what you might think a new person to skinning in IPB could use this for. The concept behind it is to be able to create and view IPB skins offline (not connceted to the internet or use a database; even a local database). In fact as far as I know the only way to this now would be to use a local database (located on your computer or own server). So 5 days ago I got this idea and began to work on a simple solution and that was take the default IPB skin and make it a working HTML website template that uses the same CSS tags. Then a person could just upload the CSS files. Now I'm also thinking about making it a software that way you could just export it in the proper format and just upload to IPB Skin Manager.

I know this sounds pointless, but if your new to skining, don't know how to set up a local database, etc it could come in handy; especially if I just make it a working software. Also if I do make it a software it would be an advanced skin generator like Artisteer for Joomla, Wordpress, etc.

*Posted here cause its the forum that seemed the best.

Sounds like a nice idea but when you figure in the html to php and to xml file extentions to work as a working skin that seems to be more work than it's worth. But not knowing you pearsonally I very well could be way off base and out of line.... Any easier method helping the new skinners would be a plus. A software that could perform tasks in this manner sounds a hell of a lot easier than the template hunt and pick ways that I taught myself of what works and what don't.

Yes it would be intersting even for an old dog like me to look at.
But I am not sure I am ready to cut my local or other softwares loose quite yet...

Sounds like an interesting concept, but the way I look at it, whenever I'm on a computer coding, I'm connected to the internet 99.9% of the time anyway. So I don't have the need for offline coding at the moment.
