Is there a way of moving a member into a specific group depending on what answer he/she made in a custom profile field drop down box during registration?

Thank you  :)

In a way yes, although its this > http://www.invisionm...pon-register-11 :)

It might not be exactly what you needed though.

Thanks for the reply.

I basically have a Custom Profile Field dropdown set up on registration that i use as spam control. I've added a column to the acp member validating page that shows me what answer was selected during registration.

What i want to do is instead of manually checking the Custom Profile Field in the validating page, i just want the registering member to be put in a specific group depending on the Custom Profile Field drop-down selection during registration.

I see :)

You might be able to use that as it is group selection (that mod) although as I say its not 'exactly' what you needed it is the nearest I am aware of.

I'm not aware of one that does exactly what you want though sorry :( , if you are willing to consider someone writing you one (it would be a paid request, not me I do not code) then its worth posting in the Services system.

With a bit of "tweaking" i managed to get that mod you suggested to work a different way. It appears to be working as desired.

Thank you for your help :)
