I've fallen on hard times and I haven't looked into IPB in such a long time. So I'd like to sell my perpetual(free forever) license to someone willing. The support has been expired for a few years, which is forum access, customer support and such but you can always renew it. For now I'm taking offers starting at least around $200 so if anyone is interested you can either PM me or post on here, I'll give this at least a week to give anyone interested a fair chance.

Currently licenses cost $149 and that's for 6 months of updates. That is my justification for the price range as this provides unlimited.

A perpetual license holder will receive free updates forever, without the need to renew the support contract. You do need to pay for support to get forum access and ticket support tho.

Just remember that IPS is forcing those licenses holders to become std license holders... They can't use, for example, SPAM SERVICE, if I'm not mistaken.

I think you can pay an additional yearly fee for the Spam / Chat services to function.

That excellent free 'stopforumspam' hook works very well though.

For chat services yes. For spam services no. My friend has the Perpetual License and we asked about the spam service and they said and I quote:

Hello,
Unfortunately we have discontinued the spam service addon for legacy license types. If you would like to use the spam service, simply convert your license to a standard license.

they are so naughty in that they are trying to force the perpetual licence out.  Najaru you still have to pay for support on the perpetual licence think its $25 every 6 months dont quote me on the amount but no having the perpetual licence only gives you the download of the board no support for it nothing nada zilch lol

Why would you need their official support? And it's been like this for years, except that it used to last a year if you were to renew support. I've had this license since 2005, which I initially spent around $189 for. I didn't pay for support, I paid for the software package* which provided lifetime updates, differentiating between what people pay for now which is for 6 months of support/updates, however it works.

There's a reason we have wonderful communities such as Invision Modding and Invisionize.

I agree with you Charles I bought mine just before they stopped doing them and no way would i pay for support the support was free with the licence and should not have been stopped as you say we have some wonderful people around here that can give you as much support as you need
