Hello I really dont know how to explain this but one of my forum is disappeared from forums. I did not delete any forum in ACP or anything else , I checked admin logs and all but still nothing there Can anyone help me plea

Does it show in the ACP Manage Forums at all ?

Do you have a category with the same name ? , sometimes you can set a forum as a category and its topics will disappear.

Hello

It was a forum a under category , and this forum has been there more than 2 years.
Is it possible that I am hacked ? can someone run a sql query and remove that forum from out of acp ?  And i have a back up but it is more than 6 months is it possible to get that only that forum back ? I am really clueless about this

Try to search on the forum side for any posts that are in it.

Does it not show in the ACP at all then ?


Look at the admin logs to see if anyone did move / delete it.

Yes andy first thing i checked was that and noone one deleted and nothing shows in admin or mod logs. I have a back up from about 6 months ago is it anyway to insert only this forum ? it is also weird forums shows invisible topics and when I click i cant see invisible topics, spam bots are postings on my forums even new members need to validate their email address... please help. If i can insert this forum from my back up I will upgrade to 3.1 as soon as possible.

I'd be tempted to download your database (as it is) then upload it somewhere else and then attempt to upgrade this "copy" (not the live board) to 3.1.4 to see what happens. You may find its actually OK then. It's also a bit easier for IPS to merge it in, so its possible you could then upgrade the old "backup" and have IPS insert it into the new 3.1. board.
