File Name: It's the Final Countdown
File Submitter: Martin
File Submitted: 04 Dec 2011
File Updated: 18 Dec 2011
File Category: IP.Board v3.2

This is an application that allows you to create multiple countdowns placed around the board at your choice. The type of countdowns can be anything from a global happening, a local gathering with your members or any other kind of events, your sites anniversary, airing of a TV show, or pretty much anything else you would want to count down to.

Features:
  • The initial placement for the counters are the top and bottom of the page, and in the board index sidebar. Others can be added on request.
  • Group, forum and IP.Content pages restrictions.
  • Post embedding. Using IP.Board's "Shared Media" feature, you can add a countdown to all the official addon applications, and a lot of unofficial ones as well. All members can share a countdown that is enabled and they are allowed to see as per the group restriction.
  • Experts only:
    • Custom style formatting. If you want to change the color, or the font size, this is easily doable if you know a little CSS.
    • Change the layout and format of the counter
As this is the first release of this application, more features will be added in the future based on requests from you, the users.

Hi mate, bought this, installed it, recached skins, recached everything, disabled and re-enable the mod, checked hooks, still shows "Failed to load template 'finalCountdown_top' from group 'skin_finalCountdown'." , tried to set it to show at bottom and at the side, refreshed the page, recached the mods, and skins, but same error except for the "top" bit. All my skins show the same error, just wondering if it's me ??, my forum is version 3.2.3

Go to Look & Feel > Template Tools > Rebuild Master Skin Data, tick off "Rebuild HTML" and "It's the Final Countdown", and click "Rebuild".
After that's done, recache all your skin sets.

Rebuild complete
It's the Final Countdown master HTML templates for set key 'root' rebuilt (0 updated, 6 added)
It's the Final Countdown master HTML templates for set key 'mobile' rebuilt (0 updated, 6 added)

Yep that did it, thanks for the help, just a suggestion, instead of setting the countdown to one time zone, couldn't it be made to countdown for each persons time zone ?, i have a lot of overseas members and I set it to Australia time, so are they seeing the count down to "my" xmas day ??, thanks again, cheers Pete.

That will be added in the next update, along with a lot of other improvements :)
