I've recently decided to bring my old site back to life on a fresh install, using my old skin upgrading it to 3.1.4 - I'm having a problem with the last post date showing up as "1326049604" - I have no idea how to fix this style issue, can anyone help ?

Regards,

Its because the way the date is parsed changed, I cannot remember which version it actually changed in. I think it was either 3.1.3 or 3.0.4.

One quick usually successful 'fix' is to revert the global template (copy / paste what you have in it first safely into a text file)

Thankyou Andy, the only problem I face with doing this is that the template in question is heavily modified. I'm almost certain my style will break.

EDIT: it did break the style, I'm sure it's just as simple as editing one line of code, but I have no idea which. My website is located at www.ConsoleCommunity.com if you would like to take a look and have any suggestions to fix my issue :(

Copy / paste the original code so you have it working again.

The other fixes are to manually update the date parsing (I'd have to check to see what is involved as its a long time ago now really) or contact the author for a fix. IIRC its anywhere where the skin code refers to the date that wants updating. It may be easier to compare and old / new template to see what's needed.

I believe the code that needs to be changed is the boadIndexTemplate and forumIndexTemplate. Those are the templates that control last post info. If those templates are individually heavily modified, you can look at the default copy of it in the default skin, and then only copy and paste the part that you need (in this case, only copy and paste the last post info HTML to overwrite the old last post info code) and then you don't have to redo anything else in the template.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate all the help I'm receiving here.  I'm really struggling to know what part of the two templates I'm needing to change.  If I pm you a copy of both templates, would you be able to fix the issue ?

Bitter would probably be better at this as he is a skinner. I'm not likely to be able to rectify it very easily.

Thankyou AndyF

Bitter, if okay with you, may I pm you the two templates in question from the modified style?

I don't have the updated code on me anywhere, all my boards are on 3.2.

I could locate the code in question, but I don't have the correct replacement code on me anywhere. If you copy and paste the existing code into a text document, and then hit "revert" in the template so that it replaces it with the 3.1.4 template code and then put that into a text document and send me both, I can do it for you and then send you the final code to paste in its place. Lots of steps, but that's how I can do it.
