RESOLVED: Re-enable system app

somehow the system app was disabled in the admin panel by my friend accidentally and  now admin cant be accessed at all you just get The specified application has been disabled everywhere so no one can login or anything

how can i re-enable the system app?

What version is that ?

IIRC it was protected in about 3.0.5 or so, to prevent this happening. You'd have to re-enable it via phpmyadmin then (possibly) rebuild the caches to fix it too. The upgradefinishing tool will usually do the caches after you've re-enabled it.

You need to edit the core_applications table via phpmyadmin and set 'app_enabled' to '1' for the system app.

Once you've done that, extract the IPB .zip on your desktop and inside the tools folder find the upgradefinish folder, upload just this to inside /admin , then visit it in your browser such as /admin/upgradefinish/index.php

Wait for it to complete, then delete the upgradefinish directory (important, don't forget this) then that should be it.
