It make's no sense to place ads on Contact or about us pages. and by default IP.boards ads system work globally, no matter what mod or application you have installed. The ads system reserved its place in any custome applications and/or modifications.
Make sure you have correctly configure the Ads system.
Also, i don't know what modifcation you have installed, but if the Ads not showing, so you should be need to Ask in the Modification/Application support topic that you have caused this issue.

Hi,
What do you think that same question from a year not automatically updated in "Bot" applications ? do you know that Bot applications are update every week with more forum links and their questions and answers ?
Consider to change questions and answers in every 4 to 8 days. there is another modification (C32) Stop Spammer Registration 1.3.2
Accourding motioncapatcha, its imposible to add it without custome coding. so basically you need a Developer who build it for you for your IP.Board.

Maybe your issue is solved, but another great modificatiion also done this job at Free of COST, (C32) Stop Spammer Registration 1.3.2

There is no need for any hook that actually eat peoples money. To blocking bot is really a easy JOB!
as i suggested before HERE, IP.board aleady offer many features, but make sure you use them correctly.
Create a cutomized field that required to fill during registration. Putt the number in that field like an Password.
for example: the field only accept numeric words, and exactly. write the number like 345. and add this number and write field name as 300+45 ?
make sure this field onl accept correct words that you saved in ACP 345. its definately block bots. and change the filed in every 2 or 3 days. because Humans operate bot systems so they could be ammendment in their bots application so just encourage them in every 2 or 3 days to change their whole of system, that sure not possible for them.
