There must be one setting that's not toggled for admins that is for members. I'd look at the two side-by-side and double check that they have the same permissions/settings enabled.

#212434 RESOLVED: How to change the index board?

The issue this topic was opened for has now been resolved. :)

    #212433 Thread Prefixes

I don't know of any way to do it with just CSS. I think hook/mod would be the only way without compromise or issues.

If you're running IPB 3.4, this theme probably will be extremely buggy and break in many places. I don't know of any mistakes in the theme, but this was made for an older version of IPB so as long as you're running the version it supports, there should be no problems. But newer versions of IPB will likely cause lots of errors.

Yes it is possible by editing the CSS for #content. But this theme is for IPB 3.0 and 3.1. This will not work on your 3.4.8 website.

    #211993 IP.Board or XenForo?

Posted by DustinRyan on 21 April 2015 - 09:46 PM

Agreed. Both are better than vBulletin. Gosh that software is god-awful. Which is a shame, because vBulletin used to be so popular (even though I still never liked it, even when it was so widely used). And now it's ready to be taken out to pasture.

#211878 What Would You Like to See?

Posted by DustinRyan on 26 March 2015 - 07:13 AM

As IPS 4.0 approaches (slowly... but surely), we'd like to freshen up the place and pivot to accommodate the changing landscape of communities. Modding was our original venture, but obviously as time goes on and IPS provides a marketplace directly from their own site, ours becomes less necessary. Over the last few years, we've mainly been a place for technical support. But I am only one person, and I don't claim to know everything about IPB and can't possibly provide the best support alone.

So where do we go from here? That's the fun part. We are totally open to new and exciting things for our site and looking to bring fresh talent in to help expand, innovate, and satisfy the needs of community members.

With IPS 4.0, we're looking to redo the site and get rid of the junk and embrace new, creative ideas.

Feel free to post below with ideas. We will do this together as a collaboration and make Invision Modding a cool place to be.

As a conversation starter, feel free to answer these questions when commenting:

What do you like to discuss on your site?

What would you like to see here?

What do you feel needs to change?

    What should stay the same?

Do we need a new name?

    #211730 Email Validation Issues

Posted by DustinRyan on 26 January 2015 - 11:52 PM

Recently, our email system went...for lack of a better term...bonkers. As a result, emails were not being sent to members to validate their registration. This issue has been resolved and all future registrations should work normally.

However, if you are reading this and your registration is still not validated, shoot us a support ticket (you don't need to be validated to send a support ticket)  here: http://invisionmoddi...ort&section=new and we'll validate you ASAP.

We are so sorry for the inconvenience this email issue may have caused.

    #211563 Selling IPB License

Posted by DustinRyan on 09 November 2014 - 10:05 PM

An IPB lisence is $175. Why you want to sell it for $75?

Better incentive to buy it from him than buy a new license from IPS.

    #210419 IP.Board or XenForo?

Posted by DustinRyan on 04 April 2014 - 11:47 AM

Probably biased, but IPS seems to have a more evolved platform and long-term vision. Not to mention their products are much more mature and have gone through years of revisions to perfect it.

XenForo is great, and it is always good to have options and competition to help push innovation, but to me it is no contest. IPS has a far stronger platform going forward.

#210166 Adding 'Home' Button to Mobile Skin.

Posted by DustinRyan on 15 February 2014 - 05:08 PM

the ID is whatever you want to name it. You'll need to style it yourself, however, you can basically just copy the CSS for the other nav items, and then replace the image URL with your own image. Just make sure you name your CSS ID the same as you write it for the ID in the HTML.

#210161 Adding 'Home' Button to Mobile Skin.

Posted by DustinRyan on 15 February 2014 - 12:34 AM

    Add your code beneath

    <ul class='clearfix launcher'>

Not the IF statement. Otherwise, it associates it with your messenger link.

But you add a button just like any other. Just do something like this:

    <li id='nav_products'><a href='http://virteq.com/products'><span class='icon'></span>Products</a></li>

It's what I use on my site. Then just style the CSS for the div ID you create for each link.

You were mostly there, just a couple tweaks and you would have had it perfect.
